Welcome to my blog which is all about helping other South Australian’s discover and learn about their passion for photography.

As someone who is passionate about photography but still feels as though they have a lot to learn I figured there is other people out there feeling the same way. That was one of the main reasons why I started this blog. To help people like me feel more confident about their photography skills. But, way am I so interested in learning this skill? Well it all started with my childhood.  

Growing up, I knew a lot of professional photographers. My childhood consisted of photoshoot after photoshoot. I was forced many times to sit down and have my photo taken for what felt like hours. On the bright side, it made me extremely comfortable in front of a camera and I now have excellent knowledge about what angles, faces and poses, will make a person look the best. But what I never learnt were the skills that went into taking those amazing photos. 

A couple years ago on an overseas holiday I saw for the first time how much I needed to learn. Travelling with a professional photographer made this even more apparent. I was constantly asking for tips on how to make my photos look better. And when those tips starting working I realised just how much I enjoyed taking the photos.

Cut to several years later and I am reminiscing about the trip. I started looking through all the photos I took and soon re-discovered my love for the hobby. But, I still feel the same way I did back then. Unconfident about my photography skills with a desire to learn and improve.

That is exactly why I created this blog. I want to learn and help others along the way. I may not have a huge showcase of work but I certainly have the passion and connections to teach others the tips about photographing in South Australia.
